August 8, 2007 For those of you not in the know, my rants have relocated to http://farslayer9.blogspot.com. It's too difficult to rant here and I don't feel like incorporating a blogging tool, but I'm sure I will. This site was coded back in 1995 and has not changed since then. I've talked about doing a complete overhaul, and I think I'm about ready to do so. I've been playing somewhat with emulators as of late, using them alongside walkthrus to simply go and beat these old classics; in fact, I just beat DEADLY TOWERS! Oh yeah, THAT Deadly Towers. In fact, I'd like to actually create screenshot maps of the entire game if possible. Not too hard I would think since the walkthru I have is quite extensive and very impressive to say the least. But for now, go over to my blog and enjoy the rants. March 15, 2007 Hell, last blog entry wasn't even finished, but I just had to post to get that cool Stop Sylvia Browne logo on there. There is an excellent set of information on the site. The poor guy was even sent threatening letters by Browne's attorneys, which of course was met with one from Robert Lancaster's attorney (the site owner). If you buy into psychics, you may want to read the information on this site. You'll also note that the information on this site is fact, something Browne can do nothing about. You can post facts and nothing can happen to you. You may be interested in Sylvia's felony conviction for fraud, her failure to take any test to prove her abilites (*cough*), or perhaps an interview with her ex-husband. I know I've said it 1,000 times, but psychics are all frauds; there is no such thing, and if you think you've found one, stop, repeat the fact that there is no such thing as a psychic, and then ask what they really told you. How much did you tell them? Can they sit and look at you and tell you all about your life, or do they put forth vague statements which could apply to anyone? Did they say they sense cancer in the family, or did they say your uncle Morte is sick with pancreatic cancer? Think!!! So how do we test a psychic since their BS is so vague? Easy...use it against them. The procedure is actually quite easy. You take ten individuals and let the psychic "read" them, but the psychic must write down their "findings" on paper; the psychic and the person being read can't speak to each other (why should they, I mean, the spirit does the talking, right?). When the session is over, the paper is handed to a third party who then marks the paper to indicate the person for whom the reading was done. The psychic and the person being read are unaware of the coding system in that they do not know what their particular code may be. You do this for ten people and one psychic. After the reading is over, you lay all ten "readings" on a table and bring in the participants one at a time; you ask them to choose their reading, the one which could only, only apply to them. Once they have chosen, they leave the room, and the next participant enters. Once it is all said and done, each person should have chosen a different reading. Now, what would happen if two people chose the same reading? What if no one chose their own reading? Well, would pretty much prove that the readings were so vague as to be able to apply to anyone in there, and not specific enough to target any particular person. In fact, this test has been done many times, and in every single case, it has been an absolute utter failure for the psychic. This is why I don't believe in psychics. It is due to skepticism. You must prove something to me before I will accept it, I won't take your word for it. You have to prove it. Unfortunately, there is no proof because, well, there just don't seem to be any psychics. BTW, any psychic out there can freely email me and I will arrange for such a test to be conducted. Be aware it will be televised and publicized, so weigh the odds of being caught (very high) with your need to swindle your income from those you dupe. Oh, and if you email me and decide to blast me for my "closed mind", be aware I will publicly go after you and your "abilities". February 20, 2007 Here's a quote I ran across again, which is pretty good: The church tells me the earth is flat, but I know it is round, for I see it's shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church. So, Anna Nicole is dead. Surprise, surprise. The biggest shocker is that anyone gives a shit. I mean, we have rockets launching, probes traveling through the cosmos, Iraqi civil war, record deficits, and we give a shit about a dead druggie? Let me grab the kleenex. So what's new on my end? Not too much I guess. Just finished up classwork for this week. I still have to participate in the classroom, but all assignments and readings are finished. We covered quantitative and qualitative display techniques this week, not much involved there. Mostly because I've read so many research papers, both qualitative and quantitative, that I already know what to expect. February 13, 2007 Senator Obama apologized today for saying that the lives lost in Iraq were wasted. You know what, they were wasted. Over 3,000 dead and $400 billion, yes, BILLION, dollars spent, and for what? Because we thought they might have weapons? Seriously, we thought they had weapons. Those people couldn't even feed themselves, yet they had nukes, huh? Now, North Korea has nukes, yet we just don't talk to them. Iran is building nukes, so we stop sending them some money (not all of it, just a bit). And Iraq, an impoverished country, we invade because god told George WTF Bush to do so. Let's not forget that GW is a big oil guy, something that Iran and North Korea have nothing of. For those of you who are religious, check that bible you thump so hard and see what it says about killing. Well, it does have a lot of contradictions, so pick the one you like and go with it, that's what everybody else does. Thou shalt not kill, yet there is a time to kill. Well, which one the fuck is it? Don't yell at me because I don't believe in any of your religious bullshit. Nothing I have ever believed in cost someone their life, let alone thousands of people. The world will be better when god finally dies. Science struck the blow, but religious groups keep putting on some band aids. More lives have been lost because of ignorant beliefs than for any other reason. The crusades, 9/11, Vietnam (godless commies!). Religious groups are the most unethical, immoral fools to be found. How are they unethical? Let me explain a concept known as Kantian ethics. If I am a thief, and I choose not to steal because I could go to jail, I am unethical. Why? I mean, I didn't steal! Yes, but normally I would have. With religious groups, they try to do right (well, their definition thereof) because they fear they won't get into heaven. That is unethical, because otherwise what would they do? To be ethical, you must try to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing, not because of what you fear could happen to you otherwise. Now, what is the right thing? It depends upon your values of course, and circumstances. If you value life, you would be against abortion and capital punishment. If you value honesty, you would not tell lies, cheat on taxes, etc, regardless of whether you feel it fair or not. Ethics and morality are not the same, BTW, and the bible contains neither. It is immoral because it preaches the golden rule, yet shows how old loving god can smite people for pissing him off. One more note. I'm tired of this whole gay marriage shit. I'm really tired of people telling me it's sinful and that it is a choice. It is not a choice you fucking idiots, no one would choose to live their life that way when confronted with social pressures and rejection. It is genetic, period. If it were a choice, there would be no gay animals, since we may arguably assume animals lack freewill. There are at least 500 documented species with homosexuality. Here is a link to a list of some specials of gay animals. Now, explain that, or is that once again the devil planting false stuff to trick us. You know, god sure is shitty about housekeeping. I mean, the devil apparently paints rocks to make them look older, plants dinosaur fossils, and invents all of these distant galaxies which aren't really there, just to trick us. Get a fucking life, people. I like reality just the way it is. Feel free to live in your world of psychics, devils, angels, what have you. Until you can prove anything, it's a crock of shit. Being skeptical doesn't mean being a nonbeliever, it means requiring proof before accepting something as fact (and even then, we understand that we can be wrong). Being a believer without any proof whatsoever is nothing more than ignorance. If you ask me if there is anything I believe in, that is fine, and the answer is yes. But I will ask you, is there anything you won't believe in? I will go ahead and say if I offended someone, so be it. If you want to continue to be a "believer", feel free to do so, but keep it to yourself. Stop starting wars, stripping people of their rights, and the other fun things that go along with fundamentalism. Otherwise, if you want to actually start to understand our world, get educated. It's not easy changing the way you look at things, questioning everything about you, but otherwise how do we learn? If I just take everything for granted, how do I prod into the mysteries of the universe? The universe is an amazing place, filled with things we are only beginning to understand. Look at concepts such as dark energe and dark matter; we now understand a lot about antimatter, yet still don't quite understand gravity. Let me provide an example. Why does an electon orbit an atomic nucleus? Where does the energy come from, I mean the electron should lose its energy and fall to the floor, yet it doesn't. We think that gravity may play in this, but wouldn't the gravity of the planet be greater and, once again, the electron drops? To simply say "god did it" is not very interesting to say the least. But if we could understand this, and other quantum phenomena, we may have something! Have you ever heard of a quantum computer? Can you define one, tell me how it works, what its applications are? I can. And we have some, albeit very small (limited right now to 7 qubits I believe). If we were so wrong about science, so wrong about our universe, nothing we have would work. We wouldn't have computers and technology, no cars, no music, nothing. Maybe, just maybe, we're not wrong. February 8, 2007 Well, give it to conservatives to censor anything they don't want. Check out CNN for a nice video of how somebody got the word "vagina" removed from a theater which was showing "The Vagina Monologes" (sp?). Ok, I saw part of this once, and I thought it was fucking stupid. Bunch of women bitching about their crotch. I really don't care, I wouldn't bother to see it, but THIS IS CENSORSHIP. I don't give a fuck if you don't like what you see or hear, it's their right to show or say it! You of course have the right to object, they have the right to tell you to shut up, etc. THe thing that kills me is that this is an anatomy term. If it said "The Pussy Monologs"...well, I may go see that...but point is, GET OVER IT! Shit, stop trying to force the world to conform to your stupid views. ANd just what is so wrong with vaginas anyway? I mean, what the hell is wrong with naked chicks in general? Why is it that tits are so morally wrong to look at? I mean, they're actually kinda fun; beats the hell out of Nintendo. Get over yourself America, if you don't like it, don't see the show. And if you hate tits, well, you either aren't getting any or don't use yours, meaning you aren't getting any. February 7, 2007 Monday, the 12th, is the 198th birthday of Charles Darwin, which we call Darwin Day. This day is also the 148th anniversary of his book, On The Origin of Species, which of course the church would love to burn (along with the other ones about the sun being the center of the galaxy, gravity, relativity, and anything else they disagree with, like girl on girl). There is an interesting article up at space.com which advocates dialog between science and religion somewhat, but doesn't really favor anything religion has to offer (since there is nothing). I've been told that science and religion can compliment each other. I've never actually been told how, but then again there hasn't been scientist which has told me this, only the faithful assert this to be true. Seems they'll somewhat accept evolution as long as we don't talk about ourselves. Ignorance is bliss, eh? Science and religion will not work IMHO. Science strives to find the answer through observation, empirical data, and critical thinking. Religion already has its answer; it sifts through observations and pulls out this and that to try and further its agenda. There is nothing objective about religion; it already has its answer. If I took a room of ten scientists who, both science and religion agree, could definitively answer the question, we would have two schools of thought on the answer. The scientists would accept the finding; if god was proven, we would accept it and try to fit it in with what we know of the universe. If god was proven not to exist, we would accept it and try to fit it in with what we know of the universe. Now, for the faithful. If god was proven, they would rejoice and throw up the "I told you so" banter. No problem, fine, you were right. However, if god was proven not to exist, the church would call the scientists charlatans and again reject science. When you have fundamental beliefs, no evidence will change your opinion. As a scientist, we must continually rethink what we know and how things work. For religion, it never changes. Well, except from one religion to another of course. I mean, we can't expect everyone's interpretation of god's word to be the same now can we? Support science, not superstition. Whether we want to accept it or not, we are the products of millions and millions of years of evolutionary changes. Look at the planets, which took millions of years to form. Do you think the earth of today looked like the earth of a million years ago? Or are you stupid enough to think that the earth is only a few thousands of years old because one book, written thousands of years ago by a bunch of Hebrews, who existed before science, says so. I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. There is more evidence for evolution than for gravity. Understanding evolution is key to finding life in the rest of the universe. If we understand exactly how evolution works, we can target planets that fit the bill. I mean, we're the only life we know, is there more? Oh, and you may want to consider that as well. If we find life on another planet, it disproves the bible...period. The bible clearly states that all life originated in the garden of eden. Explain how it got from the garden to another planet. Evolution can explain it, can the bible? Examine this link for the top 10 useless organs that evolution has left for us. February 5, 2007 Another tidbit on evolution today. So, what is evolution again? Simply put, it is the ability of life to adapt to surroundings, so much so that after millions of years, the animals don't even look the same, have split into different species, etc. Now, religous groups fight this left and right (just like the round Earth, the sun-centered view of the universe, and gravity), but the problem is that there is so much proof of evolution it is obscene to believe otherwise. Religion is philosophy, nothing more. It is not science (neither is intelligent design btw, since it can not be tested and begins with the answer, working backwards). But, if you are religious, you can consider evolution as the "how" and not necessarily the "why". Think about it. Now, here is some proof of evolution: it's called the nylon problem. Nylon was invented by man in 1935; it never existed before 1935...ever...anywhere. Bacteria were discovered in 1975 which could break down nylon and eat it. It can do this because its DNA codes for a protein called nylonase, which allows the breakdown of nylon. Evolution opponents say god made all animals and that they do not change; we're talking about genetic changes BTW, a change to the actual DNA of this bacteria. So how did this bacteria manage to eat something which requires specific DNA coding if its DNA was made by god many years ago? There are three possible answers:
Number two. Well, this makes no sense either. Would god have provided this bacteria with a gene to allow it to eat nylon and survive, but not give me the ability to eat tree bark if I'm lost in the woods and starving? Does he love the bacteria more than me? It's a simple, untestable answer which is not very convincing. Especially since this new ability to eat nylon isn't very good anyway. Last option, the bacteria evolved. Here is how this would have happened. This bacteria was found in a landfill with a fair amount of waste, including nylon products. By random mutation, a strain of this bacteria was able to get some energy from nylon; the mutation is not perfect in terms of digesting nylon, hence it is not effective, but it is there. These bacteria now have an advantage: they can gain energy from nylon due to a random mutation, something their buddies can't do. They will have more offspring because they have more energy; they have adapted to their environment due to a chance mutation in their DNA. DNA replication isn't perfect, it has problems (Downs Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, etc). If it an advantage, even a slight one, it gives that animal and its offspring a better chance of survival. The offspring also have this mutation (some don't, but they won't survive as long). Now, the dominant bacteria are the ones who were originally mutants: they are now the norm, they have the advantage, and they will soon take over. This is Darwin. Specifically, this is natural selection. The survival of the fittest. For all of the millions of DNA mutations, there will be the few that provide an advantage, and that's all it takes. To read the original article, follow this link. Remember, your religious views are your own, but don't call them science, please. And don't ignore science, it is very real. We can send probes to the planets, study the stars, we have cracked the human genome. Don't downplay the wonders of the universe; saying "god did it" isn't very interesting anyway. February 2, 2007 So what am I bitching about today? Hmm, well, not much really. I'm actually going to embark on a little project at some point soon. You know, this site has been up for over a decade now, ever since about 1995; the last few years it has been seriously neglected. So I think it is time to actually redo this site. I'm not going to put together a super-fancy Flash site, but I would like to data drive things. For those who don't know, I'm a computer programmer by nature, Director of Information Technology by title and function. So, I can handle it. I don't really get any traffic here, not since I took down all of the ROM code about a decade ago. But I would like to have a bio up, maybe a few photos. I definitely want to continue my Sega Genesis section, but I do need to go through and reevaluate the code since, well, it got jumbled among several directories over the years. Hell, I may scan my degrees and post them. So no complaining for today. Until I get a decent blogging system I'm gonna be more calm. January 31, 2007 This has to fall under the "You've got to be fucking kidding me" section: Dr Abdul Majid Katme, head of the Islamic Medical Association, is telling Muslims that almost all vaccines contain products derived from animal and human tissue, which make them "haram", or unlawful for Muslims to take.Islam permits only the consumption of halal products, where the animal has had its throat cut and bled to death while God’s name is invoked. The source of this wonderful story is the Times Online in the United Kingdom I originally found this by way of the wonderful Bad Astronomy website. I can't make this shit up, only religious fundamentalists can do this. I mean are you serious? They actually would forgo their own health, the health of their children (future suicide bombers), because there's fucking pork in a vaccine? These are the same people who threatened to go on killing sprees because somebody drew a picture of mohommad (sp), so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, but this guy is supposed to be a doctor. A doctor! The sad part is that he's apparently quite influential, which is wonderful because apparently the vaccination rate is already low among Muslim groups, so this should pretty much help to bring it down to 0. See, normally I wouldn't give two shits; if these people are stupid enough to reject medicine and drop dead, fine with me, just a few less idiots in the world. However, these people infect others, which means that there's a chance a baby who has yet to be vaccinated due to age can come in contact with a disease which could be fatal. In the real world, where fairy tales and superstition typically stay where they belong, in fantasy land with Peter Pan, we understand the consequences of what can happen when sick people make other people sick who in turn make others sick. Plague anyone? So, we try and thwart this with...follow me...SCIENCE! We don't throw salt over our shoulders, sit and pray, or call dipshits like Sylvia Browne. We find out what causes the disease, we find ways to stop it, then we find ways to prevent it: vaccinations! I mean hell, they just came out with a vaccination for some types of cervical cancer. When's the last time god cured something? Fundamentalists are a problem, and I'm not just talking about those wacky Muslims. There are many puh-sychos here too. We've got our gun-totting shoot your hunting buddy conservatives, your shoot the doctors who perform abortions nut jobs, the girl on girl is wrong anti-gay homophobes (who the hell can say girl on girl is wrong? ok, maybe if they're fatties, but still, girl on girl?), the god told me to invade Iraq C-average president, just to name a few. Belief without evidence is not faith: it is ignorance and the inability to be responsible for your own actions. Faith is for fools; blind faith is for fundamentalists, since no one is going to question this "doctor" cause, afterall, he's Muslim! Look, if you have spiritual beliefs, that's fine. I just don't want to hear about it, don't want my tax dollars paying for it, and would rather you not endanger the rest of the world with your ignorance, m'kay? Would you rather take a medicine that contained trace amounts of pork or die of cancer? Your call, Sparky, but you infect me and I'll beat your ass. Someone who can convince you of an absurdity can make you commit an atrocity. January 31, 2007 Do you hate religious fundamentalists as much as I do? Well, you should, and today's topic, which is very brief today, is evolution. You see, life is very complex and very capable of adapting to its environment. Cells divide, organisms reproduce, etc, but it's not a perfect setup; mutations happen. Ever see a three eye fish or a chameleon with a leg coming out of its head? (yeah, that happens, really). It's due to these random mutations which keep cropping up. Now, if that mutation is beneficial, we've got something. If it benefits, the organism has an advantage over the others of its kind. This means that it has a better chance to survive and produce offspring with the same advantage. This is evolution, and it's real. Sorry to all the bible thumpers out there, hate to burst your ill-informed, self-riteous bubble. In fact, I can prove it... Ever wonder where all of those flu strains came from? I mean, did god just make 'em all up and keep them hidden from us, letting one or two out every winter? Na, that's bullshit. See, here's what happens. Somebody gets the flu, they take medicine, do whatever, and kill off the flu. But not all of it...some of it gets transmitted to others, some of it had a nice little mutation which kept your body from killing it and kept the medicine from working...it had an advantage which allowed it to survive...it evolved. Still don't buy it? Ok, well, here's my suggestion. Science has created vaccinations for new strains because they know the flu will evolve; so, they are supporting evolution. So, if you are a religious idiot (as opposed to?) who believes that the Earth is about 10K years old, there were no dinosaurs, the earth is flat, John Tesh has talent, or any other bullshit, you should not be allowed to have access to vaccines. Why the fuck should you benefit you damn hypocrite? You don't believe in science, in evolution, you only have your stupid little book of contradictions and mumbo jumbo. So go see if your bible can fix the flu, go pray and see who gets healthy first, me or you. Hell, ask those guys who climbed Mt. Hood if prayer worked. My guess is that the rescue team had a better chance of finding them than your god did. January 17, 2007 You know, I'm tired of idiots. I'm tired of the Glenn Becks, Nancy Graces, George Bushes, Rumsfelds, John Edwards, Sylvia Brownes of the world. I just have no more patience for morons who buy into anything which makes sense to their little, uneducated minds. In my regular viewing of several web sites, a wonderful entry was made by Dr. Phil Plait, an astronomer and author/owner/webmaster of http://www.badastronomy.com. I didn't ask his permission, but I doubt that I need to since we both seem to agree that religion and psuedoscience are blights on the country. I've reproduced his entry below: BEGIN QUOTE I know a place where the Sun never sets. It’s a mountain, and it’s on the Moon. It sticks up so high that even as the Moon spins, it’s in perpetual daylight. Radiation from the Sun pours down on there day and night, 24 hours a day—well, the Moon’s day is actually about 4 weeks long, so the sunlight pours down there 708 hours a day. I know a place where the Sun never shines. It’s at the bottom of the ocean. A crack in the crust there exudes nasty chemicals and heats the water to the boiling point. This would kill a human instantly, but there are creatures there, bacteria, that thrive. They eat the sulfur from the vent, and excrete sulfuric acid. I know a place where the temperature is 15 million degrees, and the pressure would crush you to a microscopic dot. That place is the core of the Sun. I know a place where the magnetic fields would rip you apart, atom by atom: the surface of a neutron star, a magnetar. I know a place where life began billions of years ago. That place is here, the Earth. I know these places because I’m a scientist. Science is a way of finding things out. It’s a way of testing what’s real. It’s what Richard Feynman called “A way of not fooling ourselves." No astrologer ever predicted the existence of Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto. No modern astrologer had a clue about Sedna, a ball of ice half the size of Pluto that orbits even farther out. No astrologer predicted the more than 150 planets now known to orbit other suns. But scientists did. No psychic, despite their claims, has ever helped the police solve a crime. But forensic scientists have, all the time. It wasn’t someone who practices homeopathy who found a cure for smallpox, or polio. Scientists did, medical scientists. No creationist ever cracked the genetic code. Chemists did. Molecular biologists did. They used physics. They used math. They used chemistry, biology, astronomy, engineering. They used science. These are all the things you discovered doing your projects. All the things that brought you here today. Computers? Cell phones? Rockets to Saturn, probes to the ocean floor, PSP, gamecubes, gameboys, X-boxes? All by scientists. Those places I talked about before—you can get to know them too. You can experience the wonder of seeing them for the first time, the thrill of discovery, the incredible, visceral feeling of doing something no one has ever done before, seen things no one has seen before, know something no one else has ever known. No crystal balls, no tarot cards, no horoscopes. Just you, your brain, and your ability to think. Welcome to science. You’re gonna like it here. END QUOTE There are no psychics, no ghosts, no talking to the dead, no haunted houses. Sylvia Browne is a fool, John Edward is a liar, and every other "medium" out there wants only one thing: your money. You see, there are many techniques which can be employed to fool someone; heck, even Uri Geller managed to fool a couple of scientists once (of course, Johnny Carson then exposed Geller, but you won't hear Uri mention that). But the fact is, if these people were forced, under controlled conditions, to demonstrate their powers, they would utterly fail. If I asked Sylvia Browne to speak to my dead relatives, I will bet my house that she could only spout forth ambiguous statements, nothing specific. In fact... I am putting forth a challenge. I challenge anyone, and I MEAN ANYONE, to prove or demonstrate supernatural abilities. This includes dowsers, pyschics, ghost hunters, priests, anyone who has some notion that they have an ability beyond the ability of ordinary men and women. In fact, I can hook you up with $1 million by recommending you for the JREF Challenge. So come on folks, feel free to email me with your abilities and we'll put it to the test. We'll video everything, put it on the web, plus get you in line for a cool million bucks. What do you have to lose? What excuses will you come up with for NOT accepting a million dollars? May 22, 2006So, it's been almost five years since I've updated this site. Before today, the last update was on 7/23/01. It's amazing how much things can change in just five years. Well, first I got married on 11/12/02 to a girl named Kim. We started dating on 9/11/01, but there was no bad Karma apparently :) On 9/4/05, we had our first son together, first child for both of us. His name is Rylan Duane Wolford; mine is Richard Duane Wolford in case you didn't know. As of today, he's 8 months old. This kid totally rules, he's going to be a smart one too. He's well ahead of where an 8 month old should be, plus he was a good five weeks early. And for me? Well, I've graduated with a Masters degree in Information Technology. As I write this, I am in Chicago working on my first residency; I am now a PhD student for Business Management and Organization with a specialization in Information Systems. I've earned the MCSE, MCSES, MCSEM and MCDBA certifications. I have qualified to take the PMP certification and will soon be earning my MCSD.NET, A+ and CCNA certifications. I walked out of my job with the law firm in December of 2004 to take a job with Advantage Technology. All was good for a while until, well, they fired me on April 21st of 2006. Why? Because the owner isn't qualified to manage software development projects. No matter what I did, I couldn't make him understand that our projects were not behind; he cited a single bug on a webpage (non-fatal I might add), and could cite no other complaints against me. Even worse, they started a smear campaign against me, which has just now brought them a nice lawsuit. You know what I think? They found out I was offered a job by one of their clients and that I had accepted it. Sad really, I thought they were my friends. So now I head up IT for a local company, but I may opt to start my own IT consulting business. I'm not sure how to get started, but I'm always interested in taking in a partner or two. I'd have to renegotiate my salary with my employer if I wanted to run a business, but that was one of the original options they gave in the first place so it should be no issue. The story is, don't trust anyone. I've learned that there are some very uneducated people out there who do not respect anyone who is educated, mostly because they're too stupid to know how stupid they really are. I'm not talking about anyone in particular here, just generalities. This whole state of WV seems to be comprised of backwoods hillbillies who would rather hire their buddies than someone who is skilled. So what can one expect from this site now? Well for starters, I'm going to go ahead and start posting my thoughts. I don't think I actually get any traffic here, but I would enjoy the ability to rant somewhat. I'll be adding a free counter service to see where my hits come from. I'll also post my resume at some point perhaps. But for now, you can see the beginning of my new company site. If it takes off, great, I'll renegotiate salary and run a business. If not, no worries. Check it out here. Lastly, to my friend Lisa Falke. It's been years. I've tried to email and IM you, but no response. I hope you're ok. I know your father died, I hope you got my emails. Please write to me when you can, you were always such a good friend to me. Take care friends, I'll be writing soon. |
